Hidden Treasures

As I was making my way through the obscene pile of stuff on my desk the other day, I came across the birthday card that I received from my parents last year. Generally, I don’t keep those kinds of things for this long, but I had it in a “special” pile of things that “I put here so they won’t get lost because they are important.” Well, I knew why I kept it! Inside I found a $20 Amazon gift card that I never used!

Now that I have my Nook color from Barnes and Noble, I don’t buy books from Amazon anymore, so I did something totally selfless and bought a new purse.

This bag is awesome, came with an umbrella (which is staying in there because I NEVER have one when I need one) and is a really pretty neutral/navy color.

I love finding things that I forgot I had!

Umm, Spring? Where are you?

We had a GORGEOUS weekend and beginning of the week here. Brayden and I were outside in just t-shirts and pants, walking with the stroller, being outside. Today? 35 degrees and a chance of flurries.

If I see a flurry, I am driving to Florida. I am NOT kidding. I am SO eager for spring temperatures, not having to bundle Brayden up every time we go out, and ditching the sweaters.

But then that leads me to a dilemma… I would have to go straight from Uggs to flip flops because I have NO flats. So tell me, where do you buy cute flats? What are your favorites? Because I need to get a couple pairs until my rough, kept-in-socks feet are ready for summer.

You all know how much I love Etsy. So, in addition to getting a jump start on my Christmas shopping, I have been checking out Etsy to see if I find any great gifts for me OR others! Here are some great finds.

This Charcoal earflap beanie from seller RockingHorseLane. Isn’t it gorgeous? The perfect gift for a new baby in your family or for a friend!

Do you love the print on this wristlet? I do! This is from seller lireca and I love almost everything in their shop!

I love this orchid necklace! Ever since visiting Hawaii, I have a love for orchids. This is a simple yet stunning piece.

How gorgeous is this scarf? I.die. It is stunning, and what a great gift for someone that is hard to buy for! Everyone needs a gorgeous scarf for the approaching winter weather.

How amazing is this journal? Perfect for jotting down lists, ideas, blog post starters, recipes, etc. I LOVE it! It is so much fun to break out a new notebook and start writing away.

This knit vest is stunning, and the perfect cold weather accessory! It would go with just about anything, and how snuggly and warm does it look? I picture myself wearing it holding a hot chocolate!

Here is the dress I got at Maurices for the wedding we have on Saturday. I LOVE it. I have some cute black open toed flats and some chunky jewelry that will complete the look. It is supposed to be 90 degrees here, so this dress with help keep me cool!
