Meeting Aubrey

My friend Brooke and her husband Jason welcomed their second daughter on January 6th! It pained me to not go visit in the hospital- so I made it up to them and took dinner to their house the other night so I could meet Aubrey and see how Lainie was doing as the big sister!

Lainie couldn’t get enough of my boots. She walked around in them for a long time!

Miss Aubrey

She is so incredibly precious.

My two favorite little girls. Love them!

Kudos to Brooke for taking this photo- I love it.

Meet Maria

Last week, I had the chance of going to visit my college friend Lauren, and her newest addition to their family, Maria! Their oldest, Thomas (20 months) is so adorable and I knew Maria would be as well!

It was so great to visit them, see their new place, and spend some time just chatting. I learned a LOT about the adjustment from one baby to two! :-) They are doing it, and doing it well.

successful night

Last night was a success. I think my little guy is on the mend. My mom was nice enough to come over yesterday afternoon and rock with Brayden in the chair so I could take a shower, make dinner, etc. Of course, I had to twist her arm (ha!) but he ended up sleeping for 2 hours with her, so that was SO nice. I love my mom. :)

He went to bed around 8:40pm (before time change) and woke up at 7 (after time change) so I definitely call that success. His eye is getting a little gunky, kind of like it was when he had pink eye. My mom had the rest of his drops beause she was having sympathetic itchy eyes after the first go around, so my sister went home to get it and bring it back. I am SO glad she did, because his eye was all full of gunk this morning. I have another Rx for some more drops, so I will probably go get it filled sometime today, just to be on the safe side.

Even though I have had a sick boy this weekend, Sheana and I have managed to have a really good time. She is hilarious and one of my most treasured friends. Hopefully today we can get out of the house for a little bit! I want to take her to see my sister’s b/f’s puppy, Wiley. He is a Shiba Inu, and SO stinkin’ cute!

sugar doll award

Mrs. Life Accounts has awarded me with the Sugar Doll award! Thank you very much! :)

For this award, I have to post 10 interesting things about myself, so here goes!

1. I could eat pizza every day for every meal for probably 2 weeks and never get tired of it. I love, love, love pizza.

2. I am obsessed with The Bachelor(ette). I know I shouldn’t watch such dramatic garbage on TV, but I can’t help but get sucked in every time.

3. I was a cheerleader all 4 years of high school. Brandon makes fun of me, but I really loved it and miss it!

4. I love working for my parent’s business in the summer and wouldn’t trade it for anything. I will be lucky enough to be back this summer, working from my parent’s home (1/2 mile away from the office) and take Brayden with me!

5. I love watching Olympic diving and swimming events. It’s my favorite part of the summer Olympics! As far as the winter Olympics go, I love figure skating, curling, and speed skating.

6. I am a celebrity gossip junkie.

7. I have had my new camera for 2 weeks, and have already taken 350 pictures with it. Yikes.

8. Being a mom is truly my passion in life. I have never felt this fulfilled doing anything else!

9. I love football. I am a huge Indianapolis Colts fan, and have been since Peyton Manning started playing there after college. I love Peyton, and I love the Colts! I just can’t be a Bears fan even though we only live 2 hours from Chicago!

10. I am not much of a daredevil. I would never skydive, bungee jump, scuba dive, or water-ski. Even tubing gives me the creeps anymore. As a kid, I loved water, boating, etc but now that I am older and I am more responsible, I just can’t bring myself to do those things.

Since I love ALL of you who read my blog, consider yourself tagged, and let me know if you post this on your profile!

check it out!

A friend from high school just recently opened her very own Etsy shop! Her photography is stunning (check out her pictures from South Africa) and I am so glad she is sharing her talent with the world.

a country wedding

Our good friends Cory and Jackie tied the knot over the weekend in a beautiful outdoor ceremony followed by a laid back reception at their farm.

We left Brayden at home with my mom, and we were only 10 minutes away, so I was still able to go home and feed him between the ceremony and reception (notice the change of clothes, it was only 55-60 degrees!) and do bathtime when he woke up again. I did feel a bit naked without him though!

work work work…

Tis the season folks! Come Monday, I am going to be one busy girl and not blogging as much. I am getting very excited to stay busy, but also anxious. Please pray that all of our pilots stay safe while we try to get lots of acres sprayed in a short amount of time…

Last night, I finally got to talk to my Emma Kate! I miss her so much now that she is back home and getting ready to have her own classroom this fall. We are already planning a weekend to catch up, and I am very, very excited about it.

I am trying to get to work as we speak, but I was so anxiously awaiting the new iPhone software that I decided to try that this morning, as there aren’t as many people trying to access it. I heard the horror stories from yesterday and decided I didn’t want to be up all night trying to do that. So far, so good!

I better do a few more things before I leave! Have a great weekend!
