My Favorite Season

I know I shouldn’t talk about fall since it is still August, but with everyone being back in school, I get the fall itch. Fall is by far my favorite season. Cooler temperatures, farming, football, apple orchard trip- I could go on and on. I love being able to wear jeans and sweaters, comfy hoodies, and not breaking out the winter coat just yet.

This year, I am excited that we are having our baby girl in October, but I am even MORE excited about getting to buy new jeans in the months after having her. I have one pair of maternity jeans that I LOVE (so much so, that I ripped them during my first pregnancy and had them fixed for this one) but that’s about it. And I went through some pretty drastic size changes after having Brayden (going down 3-4 pant sizes and keeping it off for a good 9 months) so I am not having a lot of hope in fitting into what I already have (which is a good thing!). I also don’t want to invest a LOT of money into jeans until I know I can keep the weight off.

Here’s what is on my wish list:

It is no secret that I LOVE Gap jeans- mostly because they come in petites and actually FIT me.
Now, when you know that I am only 5’1″ tall, you would think that long and lean jeans wouldn’t be for me. BUT, I love this fit and since they also come in petites? They are keepers for sure!
I used to think skinny jeans were stupid but I LOVE them now! They are great for tucking into boots in the winter, and look great with flats for fall. Definitely can’t wait to try some on in a few more months!
What are your favorite fall pieces??

spring fever

As much as I love snow in the winter time, I have had enough! And we don’t even live on the east coast! We are still on a spending freeze in our household, but that doesn’t stop me from daydreaming of spring! With that said, here are some looks I am drooling over….

fall clothing

Last week, I went on an online shopping spree with my birthday money, and scored some major deals on some great fall clothing. I was in desperate need of new jeans due to the fact that my pre-pregnancy ones basically fall off of me (I was blessed with good genes, and breastfeeding doesn’t hurt). I am a huge believer in quality over quantity, so here is what I ended up with…

The Sweetheart Skinny jean from Old Navy. I have never tried a skinny jean before, but I LOVE them, especially with my boots!
This lightweight cardigan from Old Navy. Perfect for layering, and so soft and comfy!

Curvy jeans from GAP. I love the fit and the material is soft and amazing. GAP’s jeans never disappoint me.

Boyfriend sweater from GAP. I love this deep purple color for fall!

I LOVE graphic tees so I picked these up from American Eagle…can’t beat the buy one, get one 50% off price tag!

I would LOVE to find a reasonably priced, neutral toned trench coat…so I am on the lookout!

What are YOUR favorite fall trends?

love/hate relationship

I have a love/hate relationship with my height. Petite clothes have always been harder for me to come by, unless I shop online. Well, I may have found a few more things that I could fit into…and it’s really, really exciting. (Side note, on my earlier post, those were all petites from Gap.)

These jeans are from Banana Republic… I totally love them.

I love this top from Banana Republic as well. The puffed, cap sleeves are so cute!

This dress is also from Banana Republic. Not sure that I have anywhere coming up to wear it to, but I love it nonetheless.

finds for fall…

Now I know summer isn’t over yet, but I have already been scoping out a few new clothing items for fall. I am in desperate need of jeans, and these trouser jeans from Gap might make their way into my closet. Bonus: they come in petites!

Also, a few essentials…

I am so in love with this coat from Gap! :)

retail therapy…

Since we will be busy spraying here in within the next week, Sunday, my sis and I decided to head to Bloomington to get in one more shopping trip and boy I am glad we did! I got some jean shorts, which I desperately needed for work, and she had a great coupon for a free makeup bag at VS and $5 off their sweats! Score. As I have previously posted, I love VS boyfriend sweats.

Then it was back to the old grind. Our first pilot is here and we are just waiting for the corn to get to the right point to spray. We might have some to do over the weekend, but I think next week is when things will start to get busy! It’s really exciting and those long hours are definitely worth it. Case in point, the National Agricultural Aviation Association Convention is December 8-11th in Las Vegas, and we are going to be there the 6-12th! We are staying at a new hotel, South Point, and its just a few minutes from the strip. I am really, really excited!

Well, its off to work, then to Menards to return some final things from our renovation!
