3 Years

3 years ago, after 24 hours of labor and an emergency C-section, my life was forever changed.

They placed this little boy into my arms and I have never felt as much love as I did that day.

Being a mother was my biggest dream in life, and Brayden fulfilled that for the very first time.

How did we get here so quickly?

Sometimes the days feel like they will never end, but in the morning I am so glad I get a new start with you, buddy. You are the funniest kid I know, and I thank God for blessing our family with you every single day. Your dad and I joke now that if everyone is doing one thing, you are doing the other. I honestly do hope that holds true for most aspects of your life. You get that from your daddy. We have no one to blame but him for your stubbornness and “on my terms” attitude.

Watching you be a big brother to Kenley has been one of the most joyous experiences. There have been some struggles, but seeing your love and protection over her makes my heart swell. You are so excited when she gets up in the morning. Generally though, when she starts crawling after your toys, that excitement fades. Ha! I look forward to seeing how your relationship grows.

I can’t believe we have hit 3.
