My friend Jacinda just re-launched her blog/etsy shop and I wanted to share it with all of you!
She is so incredibly talented and I know you guys will love her blog and her shop. She posts some awesome tutorials like how to make a tote out of a coffee bean sack and how to make a wine gift bag.
There are two things I want to highlight about Jacinda and her new shop/blog. The first is that she is partnering with The Timothy Center. The Timothy Center is a ”non-profit business that identifies, trains and develops entrepreneurial talent in the majority world. Based in Chicago, and drawing from a nationwide talent pool, our American mentors are social innovators (doctors, attorneys, engineers, business people, professors and students) dedicated to catalyzing business ventures that raise the quality of life and dignity of the world’s marginalized. We are distinctly Christian in our practice as we believe what Jesus taught about “care for the least of these” is a vital aspect of our responsibility in proclaiming the gospel in word and work.” (Taken from their website)
You can read more about Jacinda’s link to The Timothy Center here- she explains it so much better than I do! And the best part, is that 10% of all of her yellowcloth sales are donated to The Timothy Center. I love that.
Secondly, Jacinda strives to re-use and upcycle as many of her materials as possible- from products to packaging. Her hang tags? Leftover cardstock from wedding invitations! How awesome is that? She did a LOT of handmade gifts for Christmas this past year. You can check a few of them out here, here, and here.
Definitely check out Jacinda’s blog- I LOVE it! And check out her shop- it just re-opened yesterday! You won’t be disappointed!
